The first "regioFORSCHA" in Lower Bavaria – a research fair for children and young people – exceeded all expectations. Around 7,000 visitors crowded through the Deggendorf city hall on 19th and 20th July 2019.
The STREICHER Group was represented with a large booth. In the outer area of the Deggendorf city hall, young people were allowed to operate a drilling simulator which is usually used to train employees to operate drilling rigs. Inside the event hall, three other highlights were waiting for the visitors: There was a thin-film evaporator from the subsidiary VTA Verfahrenstechnische Anlagen GmbH & Co. KG – in the field of process technology it is used for the purpose of various distillation processes. Here the children were able to experiment with different coloured liquids. Also they had the possibility to produce a STREICHER cube made of metal on their own. And finaly, visitors were able to experience the latest VR technology at first hand, as part of a virtual "hot wire" game. Tickets for the Europapark Rust and the toboggan paradise of St. Englmar could be won. In these amusement parks you find rides of the STREICHER subsidiary ZIERER Karussell- und Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG.
The fair concept was developed and designed by around 20 trainees from the STREICHER Group. An idea with exemplary implementation as the huge crowd at the fair booth showed.
