On September 13, 2022, around 25 students from the TH Deggendorf had the opportunity to get a better insight into the Deggenau location of the STREICHER Group. Part of the mechanical engineering activities of STREICHER are bundled at the Deggenau location – several subsidiaries from this business area are also based here. Two employees from the subsidiary ZIERER Karussell- und Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG gave the young university students from the fields of "Technical Design" and "Mechatronics" insights into the design process and the tasks of a mechatronics engineer. Afterwards the students went to the company’s own design studio and were introduced into the design and production processes of the subsidiary Kolb Design Technology GmbH & Co. KG, which is one of the leading suppliers in the market of layout and milling machines in the field of industrial design process.
