The campaign was launched by the working group “SchuleWirtschaft Deggendorf”, in cooperation with the regional management, the Deggendorf Employment Agency and NiederbayernTV. The aim was to give the school children an insight into the regional businesses, regardless of current incidence values and to get in direct contact with those responsible.
Moderator Paul Klinzing from NiederbayernTV visited the companies already beforehand and talked to trainees and trainers. At STREICHER, the focus was primarily on the apprenticeships construction mechanic, electronics technician and pipeline constructor. This resulted in short video clips that were then presented in live format at Zoom meetings. As part of these meetings, the students from selected schools in the region also had the opportunity to put their questions live to the company representatives on site in the NiederbayernTV studio. All other participants could send their questions directly to the studio using the chat function.
But not only the companies benefited from the event, the virtual training tour also offered participating schools a good opportunity to diversify the distance lessons and to incorporate the topic of professional orientation directly into the timetable.
